THE NOMAD Live Music Show uses the following equipment:
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS:
* Bruce's Voice.
Well it's a sort of instrument, and it does make damn good music!
Ballads, pop, disco, funk, reggae, blues, rock 'n roll, energetic rock - the vocal chords get used and abused across a whole range of singing styles.
My current song list now features over 260 songs which I can choose from, so I can tailor each of my shows to the event and the audience.
* Harmonicas.
A whole 7 key set of Lee Oskar Diatonic pro harps, in Major key tunings (to 441 rather than 440 pitch, for the harp geeks out there). Played in 1st or 2nd position depending on song key.
Also a Suzuki specially valved pro harp - you would not believe how damn expensive that little beast is, but the sound is just superb.
* Saxophone.
Yamaha YAS32 Alto sax, with High F Key, Yamaha ebonite Number 5 mouthpiece, Rovner pro ligature, and 1 or 1.5 reeds by Vandoren.
PA SYSTEM:
* A pair of ADM 12" Mid-High 600watt 130dB speakers, (55Hz to 18,000Hz) with 12" Long Excursion Neodym mid-speakers and 2" Neodym compression high frquency drivers, by AD Systems.
Damned expensive - damn good.
* A matched ADM25 600watt 130dB Subwoofer base speaker, (30Hz to 300Hz), by AD Systems. Ditto.
* A 1200 watt high/low frequency splitter, triple channel amplifier, by Tony Lee. Wicked piece of kit.
* An 8 channel "Multimix 8FX" powered stereo mixer, with built-in effects microprocessor, by Alesis.
* A PV100 "Pro-Performer Line" twin-pickup high-gain radio microphone and base station, by dB Technologies.
* Specialist saxophone in-bell condensor mini-microphone, by Soma.
OTHER EQUIPMENT:
* Custom-made Saxophone mic holder, custom-made mixer cover, and sacktruck insulation, all by Master Craftsman Marco at M & M Custom, Altea.
* Instrument and PA System cables by Peavey. (Expensive. But damn good.)
SARTORIAL ELEGANCE:
* Top Hat, by La Nucia Rastro.
* Black Drape Coat, design by Kathy, manufacture by Joker Suits, Poland.
* Stuffed white rat, "Boris", by roadkill.
* Black shades, by Rayban.
* Cigarettes, by JPS Ultra-lights.
* Beer (shandy), and Baileys (extremely large, with just the one piece of ice please), by anyone I can get to buy me one!
Oh yes, and a car, to transport all the kit around in...
